Biographical Information:

Carla Love Maitland is a retired educator, who has years of experience developing and giving educational presentations on methods, strategies, organization and time management. She has also written a number of articles on educational issues and served as the Communications/PR writer for her school for over 15 years. As a family history writer, Ms. Maitland is currently working on projects that include historical writing and research for her own family and for others. Ms. Maitland has served as Vice President of the Tennessee Genealogical Society. as Secretary of her local Friends of the Library Group and as the Chairperson of the American History and Tennessee History Committees of the Chief Piomingo Chapter of The National Society of the Daughters of the American Revolution. Other memberships include the National Huguenot Society, the Huguenot Society of the Founders of Manakin in the Colony of Virginia, the National Society United States Daughters of 1812, the Mid-West Tennessee Genealogical Society, the Middle Tennessee Genealogical Society, the West Tennessee Historical Society, the Memphis Scottish Society, The West Tennessee Celtic Society, and the Clan Maitland Society of North America.
