Members Directory
The International Society of Family History Writers and Editors is open to anyone involved in genealogy columns and articles or writing about family history. This includes present and potential columnists, writers, and editors, as well as publishers, broadcasters, and webmasters for genealogical and historical societies.
Members receive Columns (the quarterly newsletter), access to the members only website, and have an opportunity to actively participate in one or more of ISFHWE's activities: the Annual Excellence-in-Writing Competition, our ISFHWE Mailing List, discounts on ISFHWE publications, listings on the public website, and special promotions for ISFHWE members offered by partner vendors.
How to join
Membership runs from January-December. All memberships received after September 30 are applied to the following year. An annual ISFHWE membership meeting is held in conjunction with the National Genealogical Society conference. All meetings and ISFHWE-sponsored lectures and luncheons or dinners are open to all participants at both the NGS and FGS annual conferences.
Annual dues are $15 (U.S. dollars). We are happy to offer you two easy payment methods:
